Ministries at St. Mary

For a list of all ministries and how to get involved please contact Judy at the parish office.

Liturgical Ministries

All are invited to full, conscious and active participation in the liturgy. Some are called to commit to a specific ministry, helping all to celebrate.  If you would like to be a part of mass, involved in any of the following liturgical ministries, contact Judy at the parish office.

Altar Servers - Assist the priest during Mass; 4th grade and older would serve once every 3 or 4 weeks.

Eucharistic Ministers - Distribute Communion during Mass; Ministers would serve once every 3 or 4 weeks on a rotating basis.

Lectors - Proclaim God‘s Word during Mass. Lectors read on a rotating basis during weekend liturgies.

Gift Bearers - Bring forward the Bread and Wine that will become the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus.

Ushers - Greet and help people into mass.  Collect and bring forward the offerings of the parishioners.

Sacristans  - Open and close the church in preparation for mass and other activities.

Choir - Saturday Night and Sunday Morning Choirs - Training and ongoing support are provided.

Pastoral Care

St. Mary's offers many care and support groups.  We are always seeking to reach out to those in our parish and in the community that need our help.  Prayerful Catholic groups gather each week to serve those in need.

For a list of current support and care groups visit our Pastoral Care Page.

Community Ministries

Tuesdays with FMSC

Are you or your family looking for a way to give some of your time and talent? Here is an opportunity worth considering. On the second Tuesday of every month between 9:30 and 11:30 am you are needed to help prepare and pack food at Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen. For those who came out to SACS and participated in this activity in May, you can testify to what a fun and fulfilling time it can be! If you cannot commit to every month, no problem, just tell us what months work for you. You say you don’t have a ride? Don’t worry, one can be provided. Out of reasons not to? Call Ann Mulcrone, 952-496-3593 and let her know that you want to join!
